Engaging users with the Community of Practice

Hi

I note we still have a very low take up of contributors to the C.o.P. forums. I learn't yesterday at the Uk Trainers mtg that we have 185 Trainers Europe wide which is excellent.

Can we 'poke'(in the nicest way) people with regular emails inviting them to log on / follow links to new information on the CoP ?

Its potential is great and we are not getting any penetration, practically or within people's online conciousness.

Hi

I am very new to this, having completed the RDAD training earlier this year. This was as I was coming to the end of my role with Nottingham Inter Faith Council as their Exec. Officer & Lead trainer on Religion & Belief.

Seeding for new opportunities to role out this programme has been slow. Many organisations and voluntary groups are going through drastic cutbacks and are reluctant to consider training, unless they percieve it to be essential. However I am confident that things will improve in the Autumn.

Also I am looking forward to attending the Annual Conference in Brussels in October, when I hope to share experiences with others attending.

As with any forum,. there has to be a compelling reason for people to come to it.

It is helpful if there is an over-all Moderator who picks up the topics of the latest few conversations and emails these summaries every couple of weeks to people so that they a) see actvitiy and b) feel  motivated to get involved themselves.

Perhaps one of the partners could supply this general Moderator.
